Well my nephew was terrified of any creepy crawlie type things from as soon as he could express fear!

No-one in my family is particularly terrified of spiders!

My best mate will pick a spider up but her daughter is petrified of them

I've got a fear of flying but no-one else in my family has!

Not disagreeing with you pigboy just stating a few facts!

LMAO @ "fear the frog fear the frog"

I'm not proud of this, but, when I was a child. My friends and i would catch frogs, put a straw up their bums and blow them up.

are you saying its ok that the kid grows up to have an irrational fear , once it wasn't instilled in them in too much of a bad way?

No I'm not saying that at all..nor am I proud of the fact that I was scared of a frog in my kitchen and I'm deeply regretful that I may have accidentally mentally scarred my child forever.

lol@Adrian!

ANYWAY, so what if a kid gets an "irrational fear" of spiders / frogs / pigs it will never hurt them - just make them feel a bit silly when a spider runs across the floor and they jump up on a chair!!

personally after living on my own I learnt to get spiders in a glass and put them out but now I live with paul I just get him to do it for me! Thats just to make him feel like hes being "the man"

Well to be honest I'm pretty much scared of everything if it comes near me. I can stand birds near me either. In Hyde Park once I was running from this swan then all my mates (mates?) started checking bread at me (ha bloody ha)...I was surrounded by ducks geese pigeons sparrows.
Trafalgar Square used to be one of my favourite places when I was a kid but you'd never catch me there now.
