Bren, Rose that is very interesting, you definately gone very far back, I could never trace my family history because my heritage is not English so I would find it difficult trying to get any records. Have you found any famous people yet in your family trees?

No not really. Had a Sir in the family in early 1500's and a Lord who was a brother in law of a Gwilliams in the 1600's...

Had a lovely time yesterday at Cambridge, got a lot of names for people in photos we have, also saw some deeds etc for cottages the family had in the early 1900's...It was a long day but worth it..

Yes you would have a bit of trouble re your tree if not English based...but Im sure it could be done - the internet is a great help re research now a days...
