Right now feel like I'm being stabbed from the inside which is always pleasant.

RN am glad that today is nearly over as it's been pants, to coin a phrase normally used in the games thread.

Hoping tomorrow will be better. {@}

RN

Just sat down after returning from the roller rink.
I don't know if it was not skating for a week for the cold traces that has given me a sore throat and runny nose the last few days but I got a lot warmer than I normally do while skating.
Also mainly due to the kamikaze little kids I have a couple of very close calls but managed to regain my balance. The most spectacular one I won't have thought possible to recover from ,I was so far forward the next second should have been contact with the floor. But some how I pull it back and I really don't know how.

My forward cross-unders are getting better and are generating lots of power.
And my turn from backwards to forwards is clearing the ground contact more times than it is turning on the front of the skate. This makes the transition much smoother with almost no loss of momentum. I'd love to have the confidence to really dig in or use the pic to go for a full rotation landing backwards but a) the place is a bit on the small side and second during that extra half rotation you could have one of the toddlers appear in the landing zone so I don't think it's really an option.

Anyway it was 90 minutes of exercise.

RN I'm about to go and see 'Juno' at the cinema.

I know I'll like it - I saw it last night, too! (going with a different daughter tonight, though)

Watching Ice Skating World Championships on BBC Interactive (Freeview 301) whilst recording it off Eurosport.

The BBC has Robin Cousins commentating while Nicky Slater is doing it for Eurosport.

The only other difference is that the BBC is 16:9 while Eurosport is 4:3. Plus coverage starts earlier on the BBC (Nearly 2 hours earlier) in the evening though Eurosport has an earlier session of live coverage compared to the BBC's one session.

Still well worth watching.
Has me wishing I'd taken up skating 30 years ago.

Just finished editing out the adverts from my Dancing on Ice recordings and am now transferring them to DVD.

If you want to see some spectacular exhibition skating tomorrow keep an eye on BBC 2 tomorrow afternoon from around 1430 or BBCi (Freeview 301). The Galas are usually very good.

I'm well don't about the rest.
But how's that virus you had ? Hope is gone or at least easing off as it sounds very unpleasant.

Got write error on the disk with the semi-finals on but foolishly I was deleting the recordings after copying each one !
Have ISOBuster trying to recover the DVD.

There is an issue with this range of Hard-drive/DVD recorders with dual-layer recordable DVDs but I installed the latest firmware last night as before it won't record at all without errors to them !
And looking at the things the update fixes I think I have a solution to a customer reported problem from Friday with HDMI and getting his TV and the recorder to recognise each other.

You should see the number of upgrade disks I have for all the models they sell at work ,just to try and get them to work correctly before the customers start sending them back. Trouble is you have to keep checking on a regular basis to keep up with the latest updates. Though until your made aware of a problem you tend not to look.
