Spoke too soon !
Light Snow started around 0415 this morning and moderate to heavy Snow started about 15 minutes ago and is now settling.

I moved my car from a concrete section in front of the house to the driveway about 10 minutes ago and you can't where it had been before.

Temperature is rising ,now 0.7C. It rose from -3C to -1C just before the first of the Snow arrived and has risen 0.2C in the last 30 minutes.

Right now, I am pleased to be inside in the warm, as we have had no heating or hot water for 2 days! I went to bed with lots of clothes and a hat on, but still couldn't sleep, because I was too cold.

We had the heating fail Monday morning as it tried to fire-up. Took till Thursday afternoon before they came to fix it ! House temperature was between 10C and 13C.
Took more than 24 hours to recover.

You poor thing. That's a long while. Our house was around the 10C mark as well. It picked a nice cold time of year to go, didn't it?

lots of layers worked well. If anything it's now too warm ,but the boiler is much quieter now.

I've just ordered a 150mm (6 Inch) reflector Telescope + a Motor kit.
I've already got a suitable webcam plus eyepeice adaptor which combined should take the photography to an interesting new level.

For deep space images the camera will have to be modified to allow long exposures but it doesn't look too difficult to do.

The webcam came with all the software needed to capure the video giving full control of the finer points of the cam. And the software to combine the video frames to create the final high def image.

Should be great fun ,all be it cold ,and some new pictures to share on here once everything is setup and mastered.

Right now, I am eating a lovely juicy pear and resting my legs after going for a long walk in the country.

RN I'm tuned to the Cinema satelite link for Phantom of the Opera from the Royal Albert Hall.

Dolby 5.1 so should be interesting.

It's being broadcast to Cinemas in UK and Germany to celebrate 25 years of the show. Our local Odean is one.
Hopefully the link will remain Free-To-Air eg not scrambled. Show pt1 starts at 1900 hrs.
