Wow, that was great to watch.
It's been a while since I've seen skating/ice dancing.
Reminds me of my childhood. No, I've never been on the ice, but watching the skating on the old black and while television was a major highlight. And then I'd try to do my own version...without ice, on the grey kitchen tiles.

Pay a visit to
http://www.fsvids.netHere you'll find all the skating you could every imagine. Both past and present. You might be able to find those skaters you watched in your childhood.
There's a good series of videos that make up the history of women's figure skating on there.
The videos are recorded by the members from various sources and then uploaded. Most are then available for at least 30 days unless re-posted.
In my day it was Jayne & Chris and Robin Cousins .Katarina Witt ,and Scott Hamilton .I think Jayne and Chris's rival was Bukin but I can't remember the full partnership.
I really wish I'd gone on to skate on ice after my first encounter with the plastic stuff aged 14 as who knows what it might have led to. I was the only one who skated unaided from the first step with the instructor who thought I'd skated before. Back then before any of the motorbike crashes I had near perfect balance.
It took me a little longer 25 years later to skate away from the barriers on ice for the first time but still less than two minutes.
Now if I could win a good amount on one of the lotteries I could spend every morning skating rather than having to work.
