Yeah, give it a month, and the shops will be starting with the festive season. At the end of October, all you'll see is Christmas stuff all around, tinsel, advent calendars, wrapping paper, the Christmas music playing in the stores, yep, it will all be happening. But, saying all this, i absolutely love Christmas. Not because of the money i get spent on me, or anything like that, it's just the whole festive feel of it. It's also a time to help people as well, even though most of the people in stores probably don't give a s**t about this part. But yeah, all in all, Christmas is fantastic.

Me too, nobody loves Xmas more than me but really do think pushing it in our faces in September is ridiculous. No doubt I will have my annual complaint letter in the local paper when the Xmas tree and lights go up in the village at the end of the month!

That is pushing it a bit too far. I know shops are getting Christmas stock in at the moment but they don't need to put it out on sale

Do they really put up your village's Christmas tree and lights up in SEPTEMBER Morrissey? That is absolute madness. I thought the last week of November was way too early.

Yes, every year without fail Jezi. It really winds me up. It's pathetic.

Do they actually officially light them then?

I know our town's are often put up in the middle of November because I remember waving to the men putting them up out of a dressing room window ::lol:: However they leave them off until like the end of November/beginning of December.

Oh my god! I think I would have walked out the shop, it's only September 4th for heavens sake :8o:
This means it probably won't be long before they turn up in tesco's too

That's madness. Totally takes away from that Christmas spirit. Surely by Christmas people must not even notice them they've seen them so often.

Don't get me wrong, I love winter, I love Xmas, definitely my favourite time of the year and I spend the summer wishing it was winter but Christmas stock on sale before the nipperoonies go back to school is ridiculous.
