Having just decided to have a clearout of the old Emails I discovered over 16000 in 27 folders. I can't remember if this is the larger they have reached as they do get backed up from time to time using ABC Amber OE Converter that converts them to different file formats so they can be saved to cdrom etc.

Anyway just wondered if I'm the only one ?
Large backup of the largest folders was Mrch this year. The main folders (2) contain over 9000 .

Blimey Larry! I thought I was bad! ::lol:: No I doubt that many of us can beat that! I think you're 'Email King' crown is safe this year mate! :D

The sad thing is that I don't think I'm popular enough to have had 9000 emails in my lifetime! ::lol::

All the junk mail gets deleted ,but I'm signed up for a number of YahooGroups ,ESA ,NASA ,AMSAT ,plus a couple of on-line computer and DVD sites who send regular offers etc.
On a normal day there is somewhere around 100 emails from the various mailing lists plus the odd junk mail.
Truth be known I have backed-up email files going back to around 98 ! So there must be 100's of thousands on CDROM !

Most of my messages are on forums rather than Email though I did once have an Email mailing list about satellite tv. And I used to be the owner of a YahooGroups group about tracking and passing text messages (APRS) via an Amateur Radio satellite called Sunsat.

And in answer to the next question about why I keep them all ,well I don't know. I've always regularly saved almost everything I've downloaded including Emails to CD. I just wished I'd remembered to do the same with all my VisualBasic work as I wouldn't have lost a couple of important upgraded projects that I'd worked on a couple of years ago.

Think anybody from the Amateur radio community would have a good idea who I am in the real world from the stuff in this reply.

I used to get HEAPS of spam through AOL... quite a few each day but nowadays it is very very rare thankfully. Let's just say some of the things really weren't relevant for girls

I am stressed at the fact there are two emails in my inbox.
It just means more stuff to manage, and I've enough as it is.

I got an invitation to join a 'midget porn' site once! Honest! God knows how they knew what I was into...

Also stuff to increase the size of my willy and viagra adverts... They never seem to spam me with anything useful! I've recently started gettng ones with 'Failure delivery of mail' and my name and they're always 42k. They're always blank when I've opened them.

My older sister was adopted before I was born and I was searching for her some years back via the internet and her husband sent me an email saying 'I think I can help you with your search' I thought it was something to do with the old books that I collect but I didn't recognise the name so I just deleted it and then her friend sent a more detailed email and we met for the first time in 2002 :x

It was crazy, we're both 6 foot with long wavy/frizzy blonde hair (like Chrissie from Eastenders) and blue eyes and we even dress alike but we didn't meet till we were over 30! She lives in the States now but when she comes over, people just know we're sisters even before we tell them!
