What do you make of the troubles/riots in Brum at the weekend?

Its been brewing.

On another forum, they say it seems to have been started from a urban myth, but I dont agree with that.

In Birmingham there are major no go areas that Ive suffered first hand.

Lozells, Newtown,Aston, Handsworth, Sparkhill, Sparkbrook etc.

There seems to be 3 rings in Birmingham- the inner ring is for black communities, the middle ring is for asuians and the outer is for whites.

I live in the outer, and hardly know any non-whites. This is due to the 'keeping to your own' mentality.

The rioters are just using this 'urban myth' as a reason to have a scrap and cause trouble. Pure thuggery.

tbh i think there are groups of people in every community who look for any excuse to start a riot

its the same when its a paedo, someones accussed of being one, then the next thing there's a mob outside the house pelting it with stones, but when you look who's in the mob, its invariably the local scum

we had it when I lived in Bradford during riot season. You could see the tension building up for weeks. You are always going to get two groups of people wanting to kcik the **** out of each other, but you only get seriously pissed off people rioting.

Only takes one in a crowd to start one too, then the sheep mentality takes over unfortunately.

Sorry, my post seems rather irrelvant, I just picked up on the urban myth bit I'm going to move it!

What was the urban myth they were talking about that could possibly start a riot anyway?
