It's pancake day :) :) :) yum yum

We have a tradition in our family that for lent my daughter gives up something meaningfull like chocolate and I give up radishes and boiled cabbage :D

I have decided this year for lent rather than giving something up I would start something. Like do something more positive to change mine or somebody elses life. All that make a difference stuff. smile more, take some time out to relax every day and maybe buy myself some flowers {@}

What a good idea HC - good on ya. I have signed up to the "Thirst for Life" campaign - http://www.thirstforlife.org - so will be alcohol-free for 40 days.

sounds like a good idea, I'll drink to that.

On the subject of pancakes I have to say I am a completely useless tosser. Well, that's what my ex used to say.

Cheers people, you've tempted me into sticking a couple of them premade ones in the microwave. Can't beat pancake day.

I wouldn't find that a problem at all giving up drink, don't really drink much more of a social drinker if anything.

I'm considering starting some new things in my life, which I think is a really good idea anyway!

:eek: I'm gobsmacked at my results! :oops:

At the moment I would find it hard to give up/ cut down, not that I'm a major drinker but there has been a lot of pre-wedding celebrations recently.

All the best wishes with this Cameron. ()^

I've heard of that campaign - I think it's a great and pretty timely idea.

What I've decided to do for Lent is try and balance my life out a bit more. Not giving things up as such, but I am going to try and make sure I get enough sleep and exercise each day. So if you catch me on here at 1am, give me a telling off!

sounds like I'm not the only one with the start something idea! I never was a huge drinker. It wouldnt bother me if I never had to have a drink again for the rest of my life. Now chocolate is another matter...... :oops:

You scored 8 or above. Alcohol use disorder very likely.

Pardon?! That makes me sound like a proper alcoholic when I only drink once a week! ::lol::

Anyway... I think I'm the only person I know that hates pancakes. They make me heave. Which is strange, cos I adore Yorkie puddings, and that's practically the same thing, c'est ne pas?!
