I did get this one from e-mail in Finnish last week and it's something like this translated straightly in English:

A Woman...

...if you put your children to the Kindergarten, you're a cruel mom
...if you stay at home, you're dependent on your hb/bf and live off a hb/bf
...if you work a lot, you'll loose your fascination
...if you work a little, you'll loose your job
...if you wear make up, you're having a warpaint
...if you don't wear any make up, you neglect taking care of your outward beauty
...if you do a modest work, you'll be blamed for lack of ambitions
...if your work demands you to do higher tasks, you're a climber and married with your work
...if you show your emotions, you're a weeper
...if you check your temper, you're an iceberg
...if you're not married until you're 25 years old, you may not get a hb ever
...if you were married young, you were supposed to had to get married anyway by then
...if you're helpfull, you're taken advantage of
...if you take care of only for yourself, you're a cold person, who can't co-operate
...if you're attractive, you'll seduce bf's/hb's of your friends and their pieces of minds
...if you're intelligent, don't dare to show it
...if you're not intelligent, you should at least to be attractive

Easy life, isn't it, to be a woman, eh!?! :roll:

Actually a lot of that is true.. there is so much guilt about whether you are doing things right, whether people see you in a certain way.. all the stereotypes... they drive me mad. Basically I try to ignore them as much as possible but it is very difficult at times. :-?

I agree with you, milly - I hate all the stereotypes as well and it's very difficult to ignore them at times. :angel: And HC - those sentences seemed to be so true - who ever has wrote them. :D Whatever you do or are as a woman, there seems to be always someone to think that it's not good in that way - but they don't have any answers at all either how could it be good in some way! ${

When I see a female-child growing up, it's funny to see in her early ages that she's in every possible way already able to learn anything she or the world around her wants her to learn: so called male stuff like mathemathics, physics, martial arts, chemistry, science, architecture, engineering etc. and so called female stuff. It's natural gift of being a female. But by the environment she's somehow affected during the years and she looses her ability to do whatever she wants to do in this maniac world.

And when I see a male-child growing up - there are usually only few things that he seems to be interested in in his early ages and later on as well. :-?

::lol::
Recently I heard a woman and a mother and a wife discuss on the phone - she was telling to her friend how she's not at the work yet. That made me wonder, who'll pay her mobile phone (and other) bills.
::lol::

I have left couple of my dates and boyfriends because they just couldn't understand my inner need to work outside of the home and I didn't wanted to argue with them about that subject anymore, because it didn't lead anywhere. After my last child I argued about the same subject with my hb - I just couldn't stay at home 24/7. I think it's in my genes, and I can't stop it. I can't do things against my nature, because otherwise other people around me would suffer badly. ::lol::
