After the colder days this today was the first real sign of Spring.
16.5C ,colour returning to the garden ,butterflies and insect life reappearing and the pond is again a life with newts.

The green houses are full of trays of seedlings and just about every flat surface is being used for other seed trays. This year just about everything that has been set has grown so as you can imagine we are running out of space.

Attached is a collarge of photos taken today illustrating the above.
While the total size has been greatly reduced the result is still close to 640x400 so apologies to FM on dial-up.

Air con would be nice for this room. It's 25C with no heating and window open !
Trouble is it's insulated on all sides walls ,roof ,windows so any generated heat can't get out. Summer is hell. last year I think I recorded 35C !!

I shrunk all the photos down from something like 3000x 2000 but wanted to keep some of the detail.

Sorry to hear about the cold hope it doesn't last long.

get an air con unit mate ... i swear blinf by mine.. just stick the pipe out the window, close the doors and chill in bliss . If you hunt around you can get them cheaper than this one , which is just an example

Wow, larry! How sweet news! I wish that spring will be soon over here as well (I love seeing butterflys, grass turning into green, first flowers etc.) - but we can still ski and skate and sleigh down-hill on the snow.

Beautiful pictures Larry.

The weather is lovely here today. Yesterday it was absolutely atrocious though.

The weather was beautiful here today up until about an hour ago, now it's dulled down, but it's still dry at least.

It's not as sunny as yesterday but weather station reports virtually the same temperature. It's blustery blowing from almost West.
Rained last afternoon early evening but so far fine today.
Sky is very overcast at present.
The Daffodils have started opening today .I didn't take pictures of them yesterday as with the heads closed there isn't much to look at.

Thanks Jezi ,I have hundreds of similar pictures plus birds (feathered) ,insects ,Butterflies etc. Oh and a few humans.
Thank goodness for digital ,processing costs would be astronomical if all my pictures were taken on traditional film.

Agreed about the lovely pics.

But I came down with flu a couple of days ago. :8o: My temperature has come down today, so I feel a lot more human.

Still - we had all the signs of spring last week in Donegal. St Patrick always smiles on Ireland for March 17th! The daffodils have been out here for a few weeks now. And the fields are full of lambs and calves. I adore spring. Am NOT a fan of summer, though - apart from being off work for 2 months, hehe.

Great pics Larry, especially the ladybird. :D

I got soaked to the bone in this afternoon's downpour. :-( ....and now wondering why there is a hose pipe ban. ${

I feel much more human when spring arrives. The flowers are looking lovely around and about and I really enjoy pegging the washing out. (Then I ponder on how I should get a life when my enjoyment comes from household chores  )

Anyway it is nice to see a couple of spring mornings at long last.
