You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage.
I enjoy being online, but don't miss it when I'm away, and I often choose now to go and do something else in the evenings even if I'm not going out. That said, I really love being online, and find it much more productive than sitting passively in front of the box when there's nothing good on. I spent last night watching a very moving documentary about Tony Robinson and care for the elderly. And an interesting one about the Jewish community in Belfast. Then I stumbled across a great programme about the Yorkshire Ripper Hoaxer. Not my usual kinds of programmes, but they were thought provoking and interesting.
I'll confess now that my first year of being online was one of complete addiction. I did MSN, stayed on forums with my dial up for hours on end - far exceeding the package I'd sorted out! Some of my phone bills were truly shocking!!! And I thought more about online than I did about real life. I can't believe I let it get to me that way, and I do see the dangers in it now.
But then I'm a bit like that generally. I get all obsessed about something for a limited period and then move on to a new obsession. I take after my dad!
