My Emails have been greatly reduced today but I've noticed that two of the busy groups last sent me mail around 0520 today.

I'm still getting mail from other sources so NTL mail system is still working ok.

Anybody else had similar problems today ?

Having done a bit more digging I suspect NTL.
Yahoogroups show both the email addresses it sends to as 'Normal'.
But I can't get to the status section of the NTL website to findout if there is an on going problem.

Going by the number of new messages today on the yahoogroups members section from all the groups I'm a member with I must be missing around 200 Emails.

It happened again and this time all mail stopped coming in from Yahoogroups on one email address.
Last time when I checked Yahoo said the email address was ok. This time it reported something like 1600 messages soft bouncing and the server (NTL) not being available but other mail was still coming through on that account.

So I've reactivated the address again and changed the Spam filter settings on the NTL site so that they store anything they think is spam for 7 days rather than deleting it and we'll see if this fixes thing.

On the subject of NTL I have a problem with their new site. If I go to the site ntlworld.com it won't load no matter how long I leave it. But if I save the page and load it from My Documents the who site works fine ?!

I've tried disabling my spyware scanner ,the Virus scanner and even the Firewall and nothing seems to be blocking the site. Very strange.

I have an account (email) that was btinternet then when it changed to bt.yahoo I had cause to request the password as it wouldn't let me in but it chose a random sequence and sent it to the btinternet address !!
Must be 1000's of emails from the past few years in the mailbox that I can't access.

The reply from NTL regarding the Yahoogroups emails

Quote:
Thank you for your recent e-mail.

Yahoos mai servers have been blocked due to the large amount ssfo spam sent out in recent days, they need to get themselves removed from third party spam lists before this is resolved.

I hope this helps to answer your queries. Should you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Yours sincerely

Gareth
