We head out to Manchester when we can and as we're big fans of indie music we go to any of the following:

South - It's on South King Street which I think is just off John Dalton Street.

42nd Street - It's on Bootle Street.

5th Avenue - Over on Princess Street

Here is a map that might help you with the street names etc http://www.manchester.gov.uk/visitorcentre/images/maps/city_high.gif

And, here's a site that you might find useful in order to find a club to your tastes etc http://www.itchymanchester.co.uk/index.html?mod=show&action=atoz&sectionid=2

Hope that helps :D

sorry, this is slightly off-topic but why is that when you go on holiday you always meet people from Bolton?

for general guide to going out at night, you can also try manchester after dark.com.

I know the lads we met weren't the only ones... there were millions of em!!! And you always meet someone who lives like just round the corner from you.... but you have never seen them in your life... probably because they too busy jeeting off to exotic places!

If you're near the Palace then I can recommend a nice kebab shop nearby called Monsoon's! :D

Certainly have, it's a great place. That's where we go sometimes when we're in Manchester. Plays great music all night and is one of them places where you can stay all night without having the urge to head to another club.

I stayed there once. It took me about 2 hours to walk from reception to my room, once I'd figured out how the flights of stairs and various corridors worked :-? . It was a typical 'Expotel' type hotel.

Same here... the accomodation was really bad... we got there on the friday nite and they said they had no rooms so we had to stay (they paid etc) at Renaissance for the first night (which was gorgeous btw) and then re check in there the next day and stay there for the last night!!

We were down the lifty through a maze of corridors and down some more stairs and a few more corridors, if there had been a fire we'd have been gonners.... the fire alarm DID go off at 8 on the sunday morning but it was a false alarm!!

The room was way too hot and we had no control over the heating, i will not be staying there again.... 4 star my bum!
