Autumn plant wise seems a bit late this year so many of the shrubs are still flowering from the summer. We still have four buddleias in flower.
And around here there isn't so much of the goldern leaves we normally get. The trees have only just started dropping their leaves.

Given a few more weeks we should have some real Autumn pictures.

Oddly enough is something we noted today. Some of the acers have turned and the Schumach(sp) is gloriously golden, but apart from that, everything is green and lush.
The fourth pic down is a dahlia, but sadly Mellors isn't here to tell me what type.Try sending an image to the Dahlia society and they'll help. ()^

I've amended the Dahlia picture title ,thanks.
I'm sure if I asked this end they'd know what type of Dahlia they are.

Really love the pics larry - thanks for posting them. I like the frog testing the water! And the middle one is just superb.

Seemed a good title for the frog with that extended digit seemingly going into the water.

With broken cloud I had to pick my time for some strong sun yesterday (Saturday) then choose an angle where I wasn't directly looking towards the sun but still got strong enough light to illuminate the seed head. The camera has a backlite option which works very well. Can't remember if I used manual focus or not but the result wasn't bad.
I took a few but I think that is one of the better ones.

I thought this seperate thread would be better keeping seasonal images together rather than mixing them with the summer ones.

Autumn coming late to Ireland too - the flowers on the Fatsia Japonica (Caster Oil Plants) haven't bloomed yet, and right enough all the shrubs and trees still have their leaves.

Clocks go back next weekend.

Yes the Robin one is good. A long exposure required for the motion blur.
