Well looking at these pictures



The first thing that comes to mind is to reduce the number of lights used on the motorways.

Both images are from Saturday, first is M1 Junction 14.
Second is the M1 / M45 junction .

Do we really need so many so close together ?

Question for the mods do you think it save to use these images here considering the Crown Copyright ? I'll remove them if you think it might be a problem. Note the source way direct from the Highways agency camera network which has restricted access. But I do have access thanks to someone who works for the Highways Agency.

Some of the new housing estates in MK have the street lights switched on before the houses are even built !

Now that really is crazy !

I often wonder when I see the stadium lights on at night of the local football ground when there's no game taking place why they can't do the ground work during the day as it must cost a furtune to run the lights

I have an idea to save energy. I vote we throw a big concert and pretend to care just so we can promote our band. In order to do this we must use vast amounts of energy to get our message across. I mean tons and tons. Leaving a carbon footprint the size of a small country. That way we get publicity and to act like we give a toss whilst being complete hypocrites all at the same time.
