Just received this one. And as I don't have an AOL account I had to checked the contents without opening it.

It has the usual bit about the account details needing confirming and using a link contained with in the email to confirm your details.

The link goes to a very convincing site that looks like AOL which then goes on to a page which again looks very realistic asking you for all you details including login details and bank / credit card details.

I did a Whois search which gave an 80% match with a registered site in Egypt.

Remember if your ISP every needs you to confirm your details you'll be asked go to their site and then login. They'll never ask you to go via a link in an email.

This will catch some people as it so well put together. I'm not sure what the email looks like as I don't intend opening ,I just checked the source code.

Oh dear! I expect some people will be caught. There are lots of emails around like that unfortunately. I would never click on a link in an email and then enter my login details, but I am sure that some people do.

Actually, in Thunderbird (and probably in Outlook as well), if you hover your mouse over the link without actually clicking on it, it will show the real URL you are being taken to, which may look legitimate unless you really study it and then you will probably see that part of the url contains a domain name.cn or .in or .ng or something (which stand for China, India, Nigeria etc for anyone who doesn't know)
