BB FANS

I haven't been on here in quite some time but I thought those of you who used to be around in the 'old days' would remember 'Liisi' from Finland. She and I became very good friends and have kept in touch, meeting up several times. Unfortunately, she died this morning from Encephalitis, aged 30. She started with what she thought was flu about a week ago so as you can imagine this has happened very suddenly and all her family and friends are heartbroken. I thought I would post about her death on BBFans because this is where she and I first met each other.

She once sent me some lyrics and now I am sending them back to her - beautiful, intelligent, funny, kind, caring, special Liisi...

How terrible. That is so awful - so young as well. I also feel for the people she left behind so suddenly.

Milly. Those lyrics are from Simon and Garfunkel 'Bridge Over troubled Waters' aren't they?

Hi - yes they are! She sent them to me one time when I was feeling low and that song has always reminded me of her since, I am finding it hard to think about it today as you can imagine.

Milly, I saw your tragic news elsewhere, and I'm just feeling so very sad for you and for Liisi, as she was known here. I just can't imagine the pain all her loved ones are feeling, and I know how very close you two became. My best friend is someone I "met" through a Fame Academy Forum, and I can't imagine life without her now. This must be so devastating for you. ((

I didn't really know her that well, but she seemed a nice girl from her posts. You must be very sad.

Thanks for posting this here, Milly - I thought it'd be nice to do so, because this was where many of us 'met' the wonderful Liisi. I remember Liisi's kindness to me on this site - she was 19 years younger than me, but offered a shoulder and an ear when I needed one.

She brought life, wit, honesty and kindness and lots of other stuff to this Forum - indeed I remember a colleague of mine being captivated by her, when he looked in on this site. She was one very special lady, and her family's loss is incalculable.

As Milly was such a good friend to Liisi, I reckon she was as good as ambassador for the U.K. as one could ever ask for - I feel so sad for Milly's loss.

This is very sad. I didn't know Liisi outside of this forum and haven't been here for many years, but she always struck me as a very sweet, loving girl and I am sorry for your loss Milly and for her family.

It's a very sad reason to see some of the old faces back on BBFans. I'm sure even those who don't come here any more will have happy memories of the early days when we all got to know each other.

Although I didn't know Liisi well, I always enjoyed reading her posts, and Milly was always one of the people I loved chatting to here. So I'm very sad for Milly tonight, and wish there was something I could do to help her through the pain of losing such a close friend.

Thank you everyone - she was an incredibly special person, very warm and witty with a real sense of humanity and wisdom for a person so young.

I know she will be missed by so many people, proved by the fact that since it happened some of her Finnish friends have contacted me because they want to have someone to talk to about her. What is it they say about only the good die young?
