Okay, there is a party on the 12th, but I'm at my Grans 80th Party that day, so I cant go to that (we have to go 4 hours away ) but there is also one on the Friday. There weill be drink, and it goes on till 11:30, but I have to get up at SIX the next morning and then sit in car for 4 hours (a but more than 4) Should I be allowed to go? I really want to, as I've missed the last 2, and there are some people (this is actually quite flateering)who wont go if I dont, so techniaclly I'm doing it for them!

at the end of the day Earz, if your parents let you go, you get sozzled and have to get up the next mroning and cant, then it would be your own fault!! You have to learn. As long as you are well for your Nans party!

Tell your folks that you'll behave and you certainly wont drink and after all you can always sleep in the car on the way to your grans!

So thats 2 yesses.... I've been to a few before, and had WAY too much too have at them, but I dont ever seem to get the headaches, although I usually dont sleep very well after one....

In all fairness though me and niki are not exactly the greatest role models for teenagers are we?

I went down the pub when I was 16 and decided to keep up with my mates on the drinking front, bearing in mind they were all over the age of 18 (!!!!) Five pints later, I was sick in the pub (over my boyfriends foot), outside the pub (three times) and then when i got home, i then wouldnt stop talking and kept the whole house up until about 4 in the morning, I then had to get up for work at 8 o clock and i wasnt a pretty sight!!!

It was funny, my mum still tells me all about it!!! Im a big girl now, i sleep in the bathroom when im completely off my nut on aftershocks!!

Completely unrelated, but you just reminded me about what we were doing in a food tech lesson yesterday-we needed to use that Lemon Jiff stuff in the pastry, and so me and 2 friends ended up seeing who could drink the most...that stuff is grim! 2 of us (Me and one of the others) managed to get to 10 (We were pouring 1 tablespoon into this pot we had and that would count as one) before the teacher confiscated it saying taht we could make ourselves seriously ill (Its Lemon Juice, its not gonna hurt us) which was a shame, cos I think i could have won!

Family is very important, and as with everything, uou dont realise how much until its not there anymore.

80 is a big landmark, and as much as I'm sure they would understand that you wanted to be with your friends, I'm also sure that they would be unhappy if you didnt attend.

You have all the time in the world to go to parties and get drunk, unfortunatly your gran wont be around forever.

Oh, no, I'm going to my grans anyway! Its just a matter of whether I go to the party as well. I realise that 80 is a big deal, which is why I've asked my parents rather than told them!
