...when she came out of the house.

On her Irish TV show, The Afternoon Show, only a few minutes ago they were talking about the deal Chantelle has won to write her memoirs for £400,000. They then asked Anna was she offered anything similar and she said she was! For £350,000!!! But she turned it down as she had nothing to write about!?!?!?!?!

Bizarre! ${

Anna has an established career in television now. She's achieved a lot, and is comfortable in her own skin (sounds odd, but many aren't).

That's all I know.

Listen smartypants, I might be ancient, but I don't watch the Afternoon Show (and I don't buy Women's Weekly for the knitting patterns either, despite what one of your fancy friend's might say).

I actually haven't watched any tv for ages...will have to crank up the machine for BB. We can't get access to that city channel, either...don't know if I'm missing anything, though.

Now, if the lovely Anna was to present a show called 'Ex Nuns Extra', I'm sure I'd get into the habit of watching it.

Oh - next week is Say No to Ageism week here, Ray, so I hope you'll be playing your part! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Comment: Sue Denham

Not many will have made it the whole way down Kevin Myers’s fourth Irish Independent column in a week last Friday. Sue gets paid to undertake such chores, however, and noticed a peculiar reference about the name Jonjo being associated not only with jump jockeys but also The Waltons.

“Yes, I know, a cultural reference point which rather dates me,” said Myers. Er, no, one that makes rather a fool of you. Jonjo Walton? No such character, unless John Boy had an Irish cousin he never mentioned. Dear dear — have the Indo’s subs already fallen asleep over his copy?

Myers is being paid the GNP of a small African country to perpetrate such howlers, but his sister-in-law has revealed that she once turned down an offer of €500,000 to write her autobiography. Anna Nolan was approached by a UK publisher after she finished runner-up in the first series of Big Brother. Nolan decided she hadn’t done enough with her life to justify a book (are you listening, Wayne Rooney?) and still has no regrets about saying no. “It was absolutely mad. I thought about it for a couple of weeks and passed. I still wouldn’t do it now.”

Well you'd be the only one who loves her Ray as she drives me around the twist  GG check your texts although it's too late now and I've asked my sister instead. You may stay at home reading Mary Marriats advice and crocheting matinee jackets from the lovely womans weekly :D

p.s. are you around the weekend or is Countdown on?

Darn it, I'll never get the hang of that mobile telephone. Why can't messages come through, even if I've forgotten to turn it on?

I don't know who this Mary Marriat is...I'm much too young to have heard of her.

Poor Patsy - sorry for driving you around the twist...hope we'll still be talking to each other in three weeks' time. :-?

Well, young Raymond, I'm not one to drag up dirty linen, but I would have thought that you would surely be capable of working out how people managed to entertain themselves before the new-fangled television arrived on the scene!

@^@

Oh, this is thread about Anna - ah, she's a lovely girl, indeed.

Hey D@O'R, long time no hear

No book deal I'm afraid, I'm not telling anybody about my drug addiction when I was younger

I'm not doing anything for BB this year purposely. I did loads last year and to tell the truth, I got sick of it. I am however reviewing Love Island everyday for Breakfast TV when it's on. I did it last year for Ireland AM and really enjoyed it. It was a nice change to constant bickering and contant bitching. No matter what some people thought, I actually enjoyed the series and I'm looking forward to Love Island 2

Keep me posed when you're over and I'll try get GG, Patsy, me and you to hook up for some grub and a chat
;)
