The Diary can reveal that top of the bill for the star-packed August Bank Holiday festival are indie hotshots The Gossip, fronted by the awesome Beth Ditto and eighties chart-topper Belinda Carlisle.
Joining them on the main stage over the Big Weekend in Manchester's gay village are Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard, will be singing with her partner Jon McEwan's band J onny Mac and the Muppets, while former
Big Brother winner, the stunning Kate Lawler, will be DJing, along with Radio One DJ Scott Mills.
