You're both very welcome :D

Seems the Kerrang show did well.

No wonder she's Bauer's pet.

A nice interview in The Lancashire Evening Post

http://www.lep.co.uk/what-s-on/music/big-brother-star-ready-to-rock-1-5962762

Talking about the possibility of sprogs, which is definitely new.

Her show of course is on ATM, I think this one is on about 8 stations, more than the normal one.

Yeah, really good interview with Kate ()^. She even mentioned Big Brother!

Hope Kerrang! Radio career continues but looks like Bauer radio want her across their mainstream radio stations in the north of England.
Can't believe the workload but Kate's a real grafter.

Bauer even bought Absolute Radio the other week!

Merry Christmas to those who still lurk here.

Looks like Kate is working through xmas day, her Kerrang brekkie show will no doubt be recorded, and she's doing breakfast live on Key103, not sure if that goes out onthe multitude of other stations, but she's working with Alex James, wonder if that might mean something in the future?

Poor OJ Borg has been gotten rid of by Key. Shame he always seemed nice enough. :-(

Radio awards a couple of weeks ago!

Kate, on twitter, humble as ever, congratulated Danielle Perry at XFM for her Bronze award.
Danielle Perry: the best Indie/Rock Chick on radio by a million miles! ()^

Kate said on her Kerrang show more people were listening, so it seems to be going well, I really think Bauer picked the wrong station to stay on medium-wave in Brum. Planet Rock massively down on Kerrang!'s figures in the area.

Can't say I'm happy with the tape-checked output on Kerrang! annoying because, for me, the music is much better than Key103.

Dany did bail early from Kerrang but I guess you can't turn down XFM if it looked dodgy at K.
Kate still doing Kerrang mornings and late night syndicate to Key 103.Living in Didsbury Manchester.
Figures are decent and I thought she won an award this year but can't locate.

Breaking Bad?! Can Radio Alone Still Break New Artists? :lecturer:

With Spotify, Deezer, Soundcloud and multiple other music services on the digital landscape does radio still have the power to break new artists and create new hits? How does the music industry view the influence of radio v streaming services in the battle to establish new artists in a multiple digital touchpoint age and how important is a presenter in introducing new music to audiences? Korda Marshall (Infectious Music UK), Marvin Humes (ex JLS, now Capital presenter) and Kate Lawler from Kerrang! Radio debate is radio breaking bad or still breaking acts.

Marvin Humes, Korda Marshall, Kate Lawler (host) Produced by Liz Barnes
