Yeah, she did well on the brekkie show this week. Certainly seems a lot more relaxed then other times, she's done the early shift on her own.

Glad Lucy is back, was wondering if she'd go with Shaw to Virgin/Absolute, yet I guess producing breakfast and drivetime is a good a job as a producer can have. Her and Kate bounce of each other well.

Personally think the reverse-charge-game has run it's course, all her friends know that it's a joke now.

WIN a day at Kerrang Radio!

How bizarre. I just clicked on that link and the article doesn't appear to be there now ${ , so I'm not sure if this is correct now (it was there literally a minute ago!). However, the article was dated 5th October, so perhaps they put it up too early!!

As I said last week, it is pretty cool that Kerrang! Radio have given Kate the breakfast show twice when Simon James & Hill have been on holiday - the only occasion that Kate didn't cover the breakfast show was last August when Kate was on holiday herself.
I think the boss Gordon Davidson thinks very highly of Kate as a person & a presenter.

Disagree about Kate being more relaxed this week - I actually thought her last stint as lone cover for Kerrang! Radio's breakfast show was equally as good - but that's subjective.
Something tells me Kate has things on her mind regarding her future - maybe some positive options to consider?
Still, Kate has only ever indicated that she is happy at Kerrang! Radio, & radio break or not next year to concentrate on something regarding her House DJ career, maybe she still thinks her future is at Kerrang! Radio - we'll have to wait & see.

Personally, I think Kate could reach the very top regarding her club DJ-ing - as many people on the scene have said.
Kate should work hard at Kerrang! Radio but treat it as a mainstream bonus.

What's been great about Kate's tenure at Kerrang! Radio over the last year though is Kate got her mainsteam radio career back on track - ie Kate can't feel validated about being a promoted 'Big Brother' Winner - without a broadcasting job.
This approach means Kate has lost out financially - see the dreadful Danielle Lloyd from CBB5, Nikki Grahamme from BB7 & other female BB 'celebrities' who scrap to get glamour work & exposure within the sometimes lucrative 'z-list' market.
Kate wanted something quite different.
Kate wanted to be a peer on radio, as well as a peer on the House DJ scene.

Plus the fact that Kate has intimated that she is seeing someone now - & it sounds quite serious.

Agree about 'reverse charge' - it became cringeworthy & past its sell-by date a long time ago.
For instance, Kate rang her ex-boyfriend & companion over the years, Charlie, for 'reverse charge' before she went on holiday to Italy for her friend's wedding in August - it was obviously a set-up.
But you don't know how much influence Tim Shaw has with Kate?

I was out last night so missed Tim Shaw's first show on Absolute Radio - did anybody listen?
Tim Shaw is presenting 'Absolution with Tim Shaw' 10pm-1am on friday & saturday nights on Absolute Radio in London.

It is interesting that 'Producer' Lucy is still with Kate. Lucy is pretty good & intelligent herself on the radio. She's obviously very close to Tim Shaw but maybe feels that her career on radio is as a producer at Kerrang! at this time.

No I haven't listened to Shaws show, doubt I will. He was okay with Kate and Lucy to temper him, but he made me cringe at times, and I'd guess late-night he'd be even worse. Never enjoyed cringe-making entertainment, really.

A new look for the Kerrang home-page, with a nice pic of Kate, prominent. A vodcast of her too, for those that may be interested :D

Dare, if you really must.

She may have an odd nose, but I bet she can spell "potato", danforth

The podcast is about getting on the property ladder-not the radio show.(which is worth a listen 4-7pm if you like popular modern rock music)

I think the usual description is “onion bahjee”. However “let her who is without blemish cast the first aspersion”.(Parker 1924) I think that casual remarks can have unforeseen consequences

Kate said she'd had her nose airbrushed in some photos and her friends said she looked incredible so she was thinking of having a nose job surgery. :8o:

Although some do-others don't seem too and I like the extra personal insights we get sometimes through it-like with sexy Sarah the other week.I'd like her to ring Tim Shaw one day. :chicken:

Don't worry, BBoop - Kate pre-empted 'remarks' about her nose years ago - she always comments about it.
And she's always had derogatory remarks about it throughout her life.
Jade Goody said Kate had a 'dodgy' nose in BB3 - said behind Kate's back, of course.
Jonathan Woodgate told Kate her nose looked like an 'onion bhaji'.
Hmmm...
Kate discussed her wish to have plastic surgery on her nose with Tim Shaw on The Morning After some months ago- he(knowing the comment came from Jonathan Woodgate) was apoplectic that Kate would ever consider something as drastic as that.

Kate adores her dad as anybody who has listened to Kerrang! Radio knows - but she didn't want his nose!

My point is, what is the point of mocking physical appearance of people when there is no proof that the person mocking is an oil - painting?

Secondly, what is the point of mocking when a favoured housemate may be ridiculed failure all of their life?
Not suggesting that BBoop was a fan of the much-mocked & ridiculed Alex Sibley from BB3, of course.

Personally, I think we have a shallow view of beauty in this country -if Kate was a French movie star or other star from a different country, she would be considered one of the most beautiful women in the world - that's the way it works. :D

Kate away now for two weeks-first week looks genuine holiday and second week working in Ibiza. She seems to be getting more integrated with the station and they love to have her around but she was an expensive hire for the headline show so I'm wondering what will happen when the year is up.Her details (with picture)have become much more prominent on the home page of the website recently.

Picking up from Kate's blog thread-there was a one-off 2 hour show with Oliver Borg last Sunday.
This show is on the usual site but its the last hour of Dan's Lazy sunday(4-5) and the first hour of Live with Hywel(5-6).Probably not that an earth-shaking show anyways. :D

Kerrang! Radio are running jingles this week for Kate & OJ Borg's NEW Drivetime show next week - starting Monday 20 October 2008.
We'll have to wait and see how this partnership works out.

Kate is a far better leader than she is a sidekick.

Interesting, especially as Kate has intimated that she sees using January for her House DJ career abroad next year - but you never know?
We'll have to see.
I said Kerrang! Radio rate Kate highly.

Best wait till Christmas to see how this partnership works out.
