KAte is a very good DJ but I don't see the problem with OJ. THey have to have a jokey relation ship - it's part of the job and I don't see that joking about a magazine shoot is 'Bernard Manning'! I'm sure OJ was just having friendly banter with her and he's not that bothered about the shoot - he featured in it enough. They sound like they get on well to me and I'm sure if Kate had a problem with him she'd let him know.

Kerrang! Radio's 5th birthday yesterday.
Kate, OJ Borg & a few other Kerrang! Radio employees were certainly eager to go down the pub last night!

Certainly seems to be a growing radio station, restricted by FM signal in the midlands, but from the texts Kate & OJ Borg get, many people elsewhere listen on DAB & the net.

And you've got to say Kerrang! Radio deliver. In the last couple of months, The Manic Street Preachers, Friendly Fires, Maximo Park & Kasabian have played live sets there. White Lies play next monday.

OJ Borg back from Malta today for today's Drivetime after seeing his family.

Kate's off to Barcelona at the end of the week for a break.

5years old and a recent award as well.Epic piss-up Kate said she'd never seen so many drunk Kerrang employees in one room before and felt really scared by it all..Christian moaning at 7 that he'd miss it and he'd been there from the start.OJ mega h-over next day-Kate as bright as a button.

Some changes announced at 'rang-Katie stays the same-so they keep one listener at least.
Christian and Scottie and Nick Margerrison are leaving but Henri gets the 7 slot after.

Well it all seems quite amicable, which is nice. One presumes this will be the new schedule for the forseeable future, so let's hope kate's got a new contract.

Hope they ditch singing travel now, it's only any good when Henry does it, tends to be cringe-making with anyone else.

Fair play to Gordon Davidson - at least he's honest.

It's a tough world out there in the media & he's really looked out for Kate, even though it was Tim Shaw who pulled out all the stops to convince him to employ Kate.
It remains to be seen if Kate gets another contract, maybe she might have a choice this time? Kerrang! Radio has been her most successful broadcasting stint since BB3.
Still, surely a better life to have a career rather than z-list promotion in the tabloids & seleb mags, like some others.

Not quite sure, but the future on 'music' stations appears to be 'personality' DJs.
Not sure that has been good for Absolute Radio & the like, but the truth is, Kerrang! Radio needs broad mainstream appeal in the ultra-competitive commercial market - especially at this time.

Sounds like Kate's Drivetime show is doing well - especially with younger listeners who aren't obsessed with 'heavy rock'. Kate was brought in for that purpose.

On a sad note, didn't listen much, but sad to see Emma Scott is going - she was the their 'rock-chick' DJ - & far better than her other peers in the media.

Nick Margerisson - did a good job, especially after Tim Shaw's ego-driven late night show.

Good for Henry who is obviously a good pal of Kate - he was always going to get his own show eventially - especially after his Sony Award.
And he has a Brummie accent(even though he's from Coventry!).

Yeah, Kate mentioned on twitter that she was alcohol free in Barcelona.
Hope no-one's influencing her!

Seriously though, sounds like Kate has been assessing things about her life/career in the last year.
Maybe for the better...

Kate & OJ Borg are presenting Kerrang! Radio's breakfast show next week when Simon James & Hill are on holiday.
