OJ Borg said last night that he's on holiday to Portugal so Kate is presenting Drivetime this week.

Its a different show with just Kate(or just OJ)-pretty tight-Kate did well this week.Friday she said she'd had a wierd day but I missed why that was??Busy week-Birmingham Style awards pre-party sloshed.Wednesday we heard from Kate's new boyfriend-sounded like a londoner as he was politely unappreciative of Kate's birthday presents.

The Weird day was just a convoluted and slightly off-colour anecdote about genital piercing, botox, Austin Healy and shockingly dentistry

More questions then answers there, but not sure i could do it justice

It was quite amusing, but seemed a tad exaggerated.

Yeah, no doubt things will transpire, but Kate did have a very odd week, er, last week. Whether that was because OJ Borg was away, I don't know.
Thought the story about visiting the dentist was very funny.

Anyway, Kate,tonight, is scheduled to present Drivetime on her own.

I dunno if it's a joke, but OJ keeps on talking as if his time is numbered at Kerrang, and someone on their Facebook page said they (Kerrang) were letting him go

For the record, I'd miss him on the show.

Obviously it would also mean a certain level of instability over the slot, too

I don't know; contracts are up, credit crunch, commercial radio scrapping for advertising an' all that.
Maybe all a joke from OJ Borg Thought it strange that Kate walked out on the show the other week apparently feeling ill but still went to Kasabian gig that night?,- Tom from Kasabian had been emailing her...

Thought Kate was upbeat last night; she has really turned out to be a brill radio presenter and really welcomed OJ Borg back. Though OJ Borg mentioned the fact that a Birmingham school visited Kerrang! yesterday but only Kate showed them around the station!

Don't know. OJ Borg is a very capable presenter as his work on the lottery shows but he has got a very neutral voice for a rock 'n' roll station - just my opinion - a bit like Jeremy Kyle.
OJ Borg is very miserable at times. Kate whinges a lot too but she always seems a glass half full kind of person who gets on with her life as opposed to OJ Borg who always seem to be a glass half empty kind of guy.

Kate is rock'n'roll, has an authentic accent - exactly what Kerrang! Radio should want.

I actually think OJ Borg is ok and think he's the kind of co-presenter Kate should have working with her - he is genuinely witty - but he does make continual sexist/hypocrital comments about Kate which make the show uncomfortable to listen to at times.
He is charismatic with Kate in the studio, though.

Just my opinion - and the whole thing may be a joke, I don't know.

Could be a fuss about nothing and Kate and OJ actually like each other!

Anyway, thought Kate & OJ Borg were pretty good together tonight so their demise together might be a little bit premature. They still have chemistry.

OJ Borg mentioned the fact that he wasn't presenting the show tomorrow and was doing a voxpops for TV, commenting on one of those end of year zelebrity view shows - Kate was really pleased for him.

Big car park party for next Friday, talk of it being a big show for various reasons, OJ started on at Kerrang late in October last year

I see the comment on their Facebook page has been deleted. I'm a little worried if they're keeping it secret, that they're waiting to announce a big new signing(s).

Like Wayne and Garth "I fear change", this may effect the entire show and it's personnel . It may just be that OJ is being less discreet then others.

Edit: Kate just said OJ is at the Job centre for some reason. Hmm.....

Heard Kate's job centre comment, and maybe unusual for a DJ who has to work 5 days a week to be given time off for a London media engagement, but you have to wait and see...

Either Kate and OJ Borg's radio partnership did work or it didn't.

One thing's clearly for sure is that Kate after Tim Shaw's sacking proved to be an excellent radio presenter. She is not a good broadcasting sidekick, but an excellent frontline DJ.

Kate has really proved a point in the last year, 18 months or whatever it is.

Funny, quirky intervew with Kate in this week's Closer magazine; food, movies she loves, embarrassing moments, etc. Says her boyfriend is called Adam.
Kate settled in Birmingham by the sound of things.

With this whole Anton from Strictly furore regarding his thick, ignorant, though no doubt innocent comments, we may never see Kates appearance on Hole in the Wall!

Well. OJ's gone. Not a good move IMHO.

Kate had been okay this week, but today she's had a bit of a 'mare, in my opinion.

Hopefully she'll get used to being the only presenter (again) soon. Brekkie for her tomorrow, don't really see how that'll work without a big contribution from others

Obviously changes at Kerrang! so best wait to see how things settle before commenting. There is a recession on and major cutbacks have been made at the station in recent months.
Thought Kate was very good on breakfast today; said she was looking forward to the weekend off to see her family.
Simon James & Hill's breakfast show has been moved back to 6-9am next week, so obviously a schedule change. Kerrang! still promoting Drivetime with Kate Lawler. But you have to wait and see.
Surprised they let someone as good as Dan Morfit go. He said he got his p45 before he handed over to Kate this morning. Hope he gets a rock radio job somewhere. Kate dedicated the first two records to him.
