Dan going is yet another casualty of the severe cutbacks, Kate has survived, wonder if he'll go to "Q". The stunning Amy Jones going earlier in the year through the night. One presumes it'll just be music after Doom, right through to the earlier brekkie show now. Cable and Kate about the only daytime survivors from when she started as a sidekick to Tim Shaw over two years ago. Most of the later personnel have changed too

Danielle Perry is covering Drivetime today - she is good - but Simon James said she was leaving, yesterday. Don't know if he meant she was leaving the breakfast show or the station.

With things the way they are it will be interesting to see if kate is in situ for Drive on monday. She didn't say she wouldn't be.

Q is an interesting sister to Kerrang and they've employed a guy called James Everton who is pretty good - he covered for Henry a few weeks ago.

What makes me laugh is the front page of the Kerrang! Radio DJs - there are probably about half the number of DJs there were two years ago - but Kate's still there fighting at the moment.

Missed the Cable thing

Danielle's has had the drivetime show on Q. Yet she's also replacing OJ on Klub Kerrang.

I think they're planning to carry on with just Kate on drivetime, for a while. Yet the ways things are changing, who knows

No-one actually seemed to be saying where they'd be next week, which is all a bit worrying, curiouser and curiouser in a very bad way.

Mixed feelings really-its more (double) the amount of Katietime but there's no doubt Kate and OJ made for a very entertaining duo and I think bought the best out of each other-hopes they'll work together again.Its been a while and Kate might decide to return to London but some of the reasons for brum are still there-the station seem to feel she’s got the ability to help market the station even though she’s not roots like doom and they like her around. A lot will depend on producers(less henri) but maybe more callers and listener interaction-I always find it funny when Kate’s live outside the studio on an event. Kate possibly more upset by the loss of blackberry and boyfriend (!?)unexpectedly and the strange rash on her tummy than OJ who was signposted. Blue Monday indeed. There was a boozy booze up on the friday to say goodbye.

I think I heard a trailer on Saturday which said that Kate's show was going to be on at three tomorrow.

Yet confusion reigns, so I wouldn't take my word for it

It is an odd change of strategy from the station though, when Christian, Nick and Emma left we where told in an e-mail weeks in advance. Now each change seems to be abrupt with no announcement, as of yet, forthcoming

Kate was very good last night, a few changes to the format et al. Good move to play a live track recorded at Kerrang! because we've never heard them on Drive before. Kate's choice last night(Friendly Fires), but listeners can request on the website.
Kate's was the only voice heard on the show as well.
Kate's plan to take her mom and dad to a Tom Jones concert at the NEC on sunday turned out to be a total disaster!

Kate confirmed she would start Drivetime at 3pm today. Don't know if the first hour will be all music. The last hour of Simon James & Hill certainly is.

Kate due to promote a competition for Drayton Manor Park next week on the station so she's definitely there for the interim at least.

Hope if Kate is to continue with Drivetime, they make it more of a show, get a guest on in the London booth, etc., like breakfast; there's always some kind of celebrity trying to promote something.

A good replacement for USOK-white lies/paramore feeder and acdc all made an archive appearance.Its going well I 'd say.Kate does the travel normally Henri chats at 6.45.She got Bradley and Joseph to appear in the alpha game.

Kate, absolutely ecstatic last night about Green Day gig she attended at the NEC. Totally enthused, said she wasn't sure before the concert, but she's been annoying everybody at Kerrang! about it!

Kate said she would be interviewing Bon Jovi this monday for the major Bon Jovi competition this week on Kerrang! Radio, so won't be presenting Drivetime today.
Pretty good coup for Kate, and the winner of the competition will be revealed on Kate's Drivetime show this thursday.

Also, Kate has the Megan Fox Zombie film promotion/competition on her Drivetime show this week.

Kate, been a bit brill this week on Kerrang!
Says on twitter that her interview with Richie & Jon from Bon Jovi is being broadcast tonight on her Drivetime show - said she got them to play the alphabet game!
Kate also reveals the winner of the massive Kerrang! Bon Jovi competition tonight - a flight to New York, tickets for the Bon Jovi concert and a signed guitar from the band.

Kate was brilliant throughout the whole Bon Jovi competition & conducted an excellent interview. The Bon Jovi alphabet game was a complete hoot!. Jon had to help Richie!!!

It's been good this week, have to say I wasn't wildly happy with it for a week or so after OJ left. Particularly with the extra hour and her having to do the travel too certainly seemed to be getting too much, but now she's got some banter going with Fearnie and it's settled down.

She's talking about going to Argentina, as an unpaid holiday though. I suppose "Total Wipeout" is filmed there, otherwise it seems an odd thing to be doing.

Slightly related (as it's mindless Saturday night fare) Kate's appearance on the awful "Hole in the Wall" is due to be screened next Saturday. I can hardly wait

Await to see if Kate going to Argentina has anything to do with Total Wipeout, but Kate said a few months ago that she just missed out on the 'celebrity' show for this Xmas. TV's obsession with celebrity continues so wouldn't be surprised if a celebrity version of the programme has been commissioned.

Producer Neil is no Lucy and more or less stays in the background on Kate's show, as opposed to being a bit of a stooge on The Morning After.

Yes, it's naff but Kate did say filming Hole in the Wall was an absolute hoot!

Kate enthusiastically promoted the Kerrang! Xmas party next month, so maybe some optimism is happening at Kerrang! Radio.
It's unfortunate that in the year Kerrang! got great recognition at this year's Sonys, the station has made cutbacks because of the downturn in advertising across the commercial media, but that's the nature of the beast.

I read somewhere that The Celeb version of Total Wipeout was already filmed. It named the celebs taking part and I remember Sara Caywood and Danielle Lloyd were names in the mix.

Yes, the ones that are being shown around Xmas have already been filmed, but these things are done massively in advance. One presumes they're filmed at the same time as the rest of the series. Kate also mentioned that she was going to do something that may be hazardous to her person soon, too.

It's just conjecture from me though because Argentina is not the most obvious holiday destination
