Thanks for all your updates on Jade Goody's tragic situation, Madeline.

I was very sad today to hear about Jade's death. I know that she was a controversial character, and one that sometimes made me cringe - but I couldn't help warming to her and she did not deserve to die at the age of 27. She won't see her two little boys grow up, and as a mother I find that heartbreaking. I only hope that the people on this thread who made cynical remarks about Jade pretending to have cancer as a publicity stunt are suitably ashamed of themselves today.

I think you'll find that most people actually thought she was playing up to much to it in the early stages and making it sound worse than what it was, which I think is a natural reaction. I'm sorry if you find the need to not read what people actually write and make snap judgements in the same manner that you accuse others of.

It is a shame that Jade has died, I saw an aunt go in just the same way leaving a 17 year old daughter behind her.

Let's not use this moment to make snide remarks and remember that a young woman has died.

Goody’s publisher accused of cashing in

Two days after Jade Goody died of cervical cancer, publishers are scrambling to bring out books about the former Big Brother contestant while trustees of her estate are putting together proposals for a film.

Her death has sparked a row between her family and the publishers of her second book, Catch a Falling Star. John Blake Publishing is accused of trying to cash in on her death by re-titling the book Jade: Fighting to the End, even though it contains no reference to her battle against cancer.
