Kate did some late night shows last week for rock FM, who weren't terribly rock. Not sure why she did this TBH.

I can honestly say I really didn't enjoy hearing 1d, bieber, wanted. murs and the like

Taylor Swift wasn't too hideous I suppose.

Still Kate was quite raunchy, and she seemed to fit in to the more mainstream station, another string to her bow.

Kate always enjoyed the Capital Radio lates so a change is always good-plus a week staying in Manchester-it's like a career holiday.
Have you heard any news of Tim Shaw lately?

No can't say I have, last I saw he was doing some body-image thing, can't remember whom with.

Oh why we're asking questions, Kates mentioned on twitter that she's done some work for KerrangTV, do you, or anyone else get that channel, I don't.

He's ticking over very nicely by all accounts-he does The Wrong Show on Rock FM 97.4 sunday afternoons from Manchester-the same station that Katie visited last week. This goes out across many other stations as well under Bauer-Key103 VikingFM and many more which is quite unusual.It's some sort of comedy show.

As for Kerrang TV I used to watch it but I was disappointed as it never really stood out from others-not as heavy as I expected.If I graze videos on TV now I seem to settle on Scuzz. but I don't watch it much any way.

It looks like Kerrang are closing their Birmingham base-I haven't yet seen what KT is doing-she mentioned househunting in Manchester and clearing her desk in the jewellery office and also hinted she would stay with the group-announcements are made when all is settled I guess.

From June 14th 2013, Planet Rock will replace Kerrang! Radio on FM 105.2 in the West Midlands.

When will these changes happen and how?
Planet Rock will be introduced to the West Midlands on FM 105.2 on June 14th 2013. It will be broadcast from London, alongside the new broadcast facilities for Kerrang! Radio.

Why are changes being made to Kerrang! Radio?
It’s tough for a niche radio station to be commercially viable in a specific area, such as the West Midlands. Local advertisers tend to demand broader based commercial services targeting a wider audience. It simply wasn’t sustainable to retain a local rock and metal station like Kerrang! 105.2, hence our relocation to the existing Planet Rock broadcasting base in London.

Will I hear my favourite presenter on Kerrang! Radio?
We are working on the new line-up, announcing it as soon as we can. We obviously can’t comment on any individual presenters at this stage but stay tuned.

How can I listen to Kerrang! Radio?

Kate's last show on Drive time is tomorrow-3-7 however the Kerrang Awards are tonight at Troxy in east London.So what are the chances?

So actually the title of the thread is accurate for the first time in a few years.

She also said that she's starting another show so the move to Manchester thing suggests she may be doing something for a Bauer station there too, I did say that shift she did was quite odd for other stations.

Yeah, pretty cool that Kate's the breakfast show presenter on the new format Kerrang! Radio.

I suppose everybody who listens and the owners have to wait and see how things progress for the new broadcasting medium, et al.

Got to say, I really liked all the presenters of Kerrang! Radio in the last couple of years.

Yeah, it's nice she got the Brekkie show, but Kerrang switching to digital-only is not good really. She'll be basically doing two shows for the price of one, and got to be some insecurity about when her contract runs out whenever that is.

Still she's not unemployed yet, so we'll just have to see.

So the news literally 3 of us were gasping to know. her other show is going to be a networked affair running from 10pm to 1am across a number of bauer Stations. From July 15th.

Key103, Rockfm, Hallam, Radio Aire and Vikingfm. Always good in Radio to get networked, means she's considering a good asset to Bauer.

I guess she'll move to Manchester after her holiday in Miami.

Well it appears Tim Shaw won't have his networked show on sunday any more, because there's going to be another person taking it over, that person is.....

You guessed it Kate Lawler, he may well be regretting choosing her as side-kick all those years ago.

So to recap, she's now still on Kerrang 7-10am.

Networked across the North Bauer stations 10-1 at night.

Also on the same stations on Sunday at 1-4 pm.

Also in Bauer's attempt to flog her to death, she presented 6 hours of Key103 Live, which you can see parts of here.

I don't know who these people are she's interviewing, but I'm sure they're jolly spiffing

So she finishes at 1am and then has to start again at 7am? She must get hardly any sleep, poor thing! She will be running herself into the ground. Thanks for the links to the interviews she did.
