A LADS mag' with a difference has been launched by a primary care trust to help get health advice out of the GP surgery and into shops, colleges and gyms.
FIT magazine - a NHS publication aimed at young men - is being distributed free of charge to venues across Comet country.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, Big Brother babe Kate Lawler and pop star Rachel Stevens are just some of those who feature in the magazine.
Dr Raymond Jankowski, director of public health at North Herts and Stevenage PCT, said: "We recognise that traditional methods of communication - leaflets left in doctors' surgeries - were largely ignored by young men who then miss out on important health advice and support.
"Young men are notoriously difficult for the NHS to engage with and FIT speaks to them using language and images that both inform and entertain them."
A spokesman said FIT contains important health service information, such as where to find help to quit smoking and where to get advice and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.
