If Davina didn't present the eviction night programmes, who do you think should replace her?

I personally think that Dermot O'Leary would be a good choice. What do you think?

Dermot would be next best after Davina. He's fun and is used to live tv. He's one of those people that gets on with most people and he seemed genuinely fascinated by the goings on in the BB house, which is of course essential.

I heard that a possibility it Zoe Ball, but that would be awful. I don't rate her as a presenter and she needs to be the centre of attention all the time, which is just not practical for a show like BB. I can't think of anyone else though. I hope Davina stays, with perhaps a little more help from Dermot.

I'd love to see Ant and Dec presenting it, but that's hardly going to happen as they're contracted to ITV! Another problem with that is that I'd imagine eviction nights would be a bit tricky with 2 presenters.

Like you said, if Davina chooses not to do it, Dermot's the next best thing!
No-one else suitable really springs to mind at the moment!

VERY glad to hear it!
I was just about to say that she'll be able to run across the bridge faster this year, but there probably won't be a bridge!

Im glad Davina's back as well!

I thought Kate Thorton would have made a good presenter if not...

I was thinking - what about our very own Mr. Brian Dowling? he would know how the contestants were feeling and what they'd been through, because he did it himself.

I think Brian Dowling would be a very good choice Christine, he has been on the other side and would have a very good understanding of how the evictee was feeling. I think that type of show would be ideal for Brian as he is quite a natural interviewer as we have seen from sm:tv, and Liquid News. Lets hope the powers that be remember him if they are still undecided and if the vacancy hasn't been fillled.

I read somewhere that they'd asked Craig from BB1 to do it, but he'd turned them down and Endemol were in the huff. I think that's a big old lie, because

a. Davina's agreed to do it
b. Davina had to always be first choice
c. Dermot would have to be second choice
d. I don't think a former BB person should do the exit interview

I think there's a role for former BB people in the additional coverage, and to generally counsell them as they try to come to terms with what's happened, but it would have to be lower key. Eviction nights should be focused on the evictee, so it would be especially wrong for a former winner to be there, even one from 2 years before.

I heard this year they put a ban on allowing any of the other contestants even attending the evictions last year. That's why they got their knickers in such a twist over Paul being there for Helen. They could probably relax that a bit, but any role should be minimal and background.

I'd quite like to see people from BB1&2 for this year's final. They could perhaps interview them between the first eviction and the final bit. It would keep the crowds entertained and then they could go into the background again for the annoucement of the winner.

I didn't realise that they had asked Craig to it. I like Craig, but personally, I wouldn't think that would be the right job for him.

Yes, I do see what you're saying, although if BB3 does not turn out to be so good as in previous years, to have Brian present the eviction nights may attract more people to watch.

I have to admit. I didn't know that either!

Yes. That would be a good idea.

It would have to be Dermot. Not an original answer, but he would be very good.

The thing with having Brian or anyone else doing the main coverage is that existing BB fans will be more interested in seeing them and will automatically think back to what great fun things there were last year. Even if the people are great, it will take a couple of weeks for us to get to know them, and longer to love them as much as we loved this year's lot. If a BB person has too prominent a role we'll be forever comparing and won't make the effort with the new people.

I wonder if they'll alter the format for the eviction nights now they have a new house. There won't be a bridge, so the crowds and press could go somewhere else. I always think it's a shame how quickly people get torn away from their loved ones to do the interview. It seems wrong to have Davina asking them about their dodgy moments before they've had a chance to explain things to their mum.
