BIG BROTHER star Craig Phillips has told of his heartache after his dad was killed by a drink-driver.
The star of this year's pantomime at the Kings Theatre in Southsea was just 13 years old when his father, Leslie, was hit by a drunk.
As Craig today backed The News Steer Clear campaign, which aims to cut drink-drive deaths on our roads, he told of the devastation at losing his father.
'They rushed him to hospital but he was dead on arrival.
'The guy stopped but he was so drunk he didn't actually know what he had done.
'Drinking and driving is completely unacceptable.
'It was devastating for me and my family, and I would never want another family to have to go through that.'
Leslie, 49, was killed 22 years ago as he took his dog for a late-night walk.
He was hit by a car as he crossed the road to the park in their Seaforth neighbourhood, near Liverpool.
The driver received a £250 fine and a 12-month ban
