Jade Goody fails to appear in court


Big Brother star Jade Goody failed to appear in court today (Wednesday) charged with driving offences.
The 25-year-old, from Ongar, Essex, was charged with driving without insurance, without a licence and driving on the motorway with only a provisional licence.

She phoned Milton Keynes Magistrates at 10.15am to say that she would be an hour late, however, the hearing was heard in her absence.

Ros Wilman, prosecuting, said Goody, who was alone driving a X5 BMW, was stopped in the motorway service area at Newport Pagnell on November 3, last year, but was unable to produce her driving licence or insurance certificate.

Ms Wilman said the reality TV star agreed to produce her documents at a Harlow Police Station within seven days, but failed to appear.

District Judge Terry English adjourned the case until a later date.

BB Jade silent over driving test

SHAMED Big Brother loudmouth Jade Goody was tight-lipped yesterday over police claims she has been lying about passing her driving test.

The Celeb BB race-row star, 25 — nicked in a BMW X5 on the M1 — leaned out of her bedroom window in Ongar, Essex, and yelled: “I’ve got nothing to say.”

Police said: “A 25-year-old woman has been charged with driving with a provisional licence on a motorway and with no insurance.”
