These awards are probably the most prestigious (due regard to the others) and usually get the big Radio One and big commercial stations' hitters involved

Certainly would be tough to win, but the fact that Kate is nominated at all is very good seeing as you get the feeling that Big Brother housemates are seen as minor celebrities(or not seen as celebrities at all during the Channel 5 days!).

Kate must have been working for Kerrang! Radio for over half a decade now, so hard work in a creditable broadcasting field is far more important than the usual celeb promotion you've got in these last few years.

Great news, really vindicates her decision to move to Brum all those years ago, when she was just Tim Shaw's sidekick.

I think her agent advised her against it, but she soldiered on. Dividends are paying off now.

Can't think she'll win it, but who knows, didn't think she'd be nommed .

Anyway, a Great achievement for Kate to be nominated - especially as Big Brother housemates aren't exactly respected - even by some peers in the media industry they work in.

So what if Kate actually tried to enjoy her night. She could have exploited the z-list fame and money from The Daily Star magazines and sister magazines far more since BB3, but she actually wanted to be a Radio Prestenter, not a z-lister without a broadcasting job.

Fair play to her.

4th equal out of thousands is a good way of thinking about it.
Silver was Greg James Bronze was Charlie Sloth Geoff Lloyd was also 4th-ie unplaced.
Terrific to be nominated amongst all the competition and that means you can go along and feel there by right rather than just attending.

Why hello Rincewind, yes, I do have a read of the boards, now and again, especially when BB starts. How are ya? I read your dog passed away. Sorry to hear that, losing her must have broken your heart.

As for Ben, he is actually me 2nd cousin but it was fantastic for all the family, his dad David is still on cloud nine, though we are all Arsenal fans even his Dad, so it was a bit of a double edged sword a week later they played us and went down.

Chuffed to bits Palace went up(they will go down next season I imagine)but they are my local team and its great for the hardcore fans in my area.
