As some of you might know, I rushed off to London after my exam on Friday morning to do a little bit of star spotting! This included going to CD:UK, Pop Idol and rehersals for these programmes as well!
On Friday afternoon, I went to a pre-record with Britney Spears at the London Studios, although, to be honest, I was more excited about the prospect of seeing Brian than Britney!!
We went into the studios, and I had a quick look around, saw Tess Daly (Brian's co-presenter) and a couple of members of S club 7, but no Brian! Then my friend nudged me and pointed to the back of the studio, where the gorgeous Mr. Dowling had just appeared!! Almost straight away, I grabbed my friends and went and said hello to him! He went "Hiya guuyyyyss!" - very Brian!! Then I told him that he was doing a fantastic job presenting the show, to which he replied "oooh, you think so?!" then I also told him that he was better than James! He said "why thank you very much, I'm not too sure myself though!" Then he said that he'd seen me around, and we said goodbye.
We did an interview for SM:TV with Britney first, and I was standing on the stairs to the right of Brian (and Cat and Britney!) A huge grin appeared on his face when he saw Britney, and he greeted her with a hug and a kiss. He showed no signs of nerves at all before the interview, and had everyone in stitches whilst they were preparing the cameras. He is exactly as he came across on Big Brother. (perhaps with a bit more make up nowadays though!)
After the interview, Britney pre-recorded her first performance, and half way through, I turned round to find Brian dancing behind me! He told me not to tell anyone he was there, as he was supposed to be rehearsing!
He then stayed around for the next half an hour, watching everything Britney was doing, and generally milling around the studio, talking to anyone that approached him - he was an absolute sweetheart!
The following day, I went back to the studios, but decided just to watch the show on a TV in the studio, rather than actually be in the audience. Brian came out about 12.30, and was surrounded by a lot of screaming girls! After he'd left, a couple of the girls starting crying! I just looked on in amazement - he's come so far, and he's an absolute star!

Oh yeah, and Pop Idol was fab as well!

Awww Nicki, you've got me worried now! I went to SMtv last Saturday (20th) and he looked confident relaxed and happy! In fact he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself! They do seem to be giving him more and more to do each week tho, so maybe he's just having to be extra hyperactive in order to keep up!
