the odd harmless grass-snake or spider is allowed to slip through the cordon, to build viewer tension and drama....

When Steve whatisname goes into the jungle, there is always something about, they should just have him as 'security', he'll soon tell the snakes and the spiders to take a run n jump or a slither and a dip!!!!!
