'Natalie saved our lives by leaving'
Clean and pristine after her exit from the jungle, we caught up with third evictee Sheila at the Versace Hotel in Surfers Paradise.
The jungle diva spilled the beans about slamming Sophie, Nat's ordeal and getting mud in her nails.
What did you miss most when you were in the jungle?
I missed not knowing the time. The disorientation and not knowing the time freaked me out. And I really missed dental floss. And deodorant.
What do you think of Paul?
I think Paul is a lovely guy. He was nervous in the beginning but he's relaxed and come into himself. I told him to use the show to turn around the opinion of the public.
Once the first eviction happened his whole demeanour changed. He settled down and he wasn't so afraid of everyone. Although he's still afraid of me, but I just expect that. I'm starting to think he might slip through and win.
What was your lowest point?
There were so many. The lowest point for me was realising that I had to go into mud with my nails and crawl through snakes and rats to get food. I haven't got the mud out yet either. But there was nothing I wouldn't have done to get food. We were starving and I just had to do it.
If Natalie stayed we would have been in a worse state because she didn't have the strength. She could never have done it. She saved our lives by leaving. Her quitting allowed us to eat.
Was Natalie your best friend in camp?
Yes she was. We had a secret way of communicating. And we'll stay in touch. There have been discussions about us singing together some time in the future.
And after your comments about Sophie (on her eviction, Sheila called her a "spoilt-rotten bitch"), will you have it out with her?
No, Sophie can get on with her life. I was bitter, evil and tired. Then it was about Sophie but today it's about Sheila.
So go on, who was the worst singer in the jungle?
I'm not sure. Huggy? Yeah, maybe. His rhyme was kind of suspect for a black man!
