Tory MP Nadine Dorries is facing an investigation into her expenses claims by the parliamentary expenses watchdog.
The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) said it had reason to believe Ms Dorries may have been paid travel and accommodation costs she was not entitled to.
Ipsa compliance officer Peter Davis said an investigation would be conducted into claims relating to ‘accommodation expenditure, travel and subsistence’.

The controversial MP, who appeared on ITV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! last year, has said she is ‘totally relaxed’ about the claims.
