Mad Matt
TV chiefs fear “Mad” Matt Willis is a jungle timebomb just waiting to go off.
The 23-year-old former Busted star is bored with having nothing to do in camp and is ready to explode.
Bonkers Matt has been wandering off to the bush telegraph to rant at producers in private at least 10 times a day.
One crew member said: “There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. We have clips which haven’t been shown of him getting more and more angry.
“He’s bored out of his skull. He’s been shouting his head off that the lack of
activity in the jungle is doing his head in.”
GMTV presenter Carla Romano, 37, in Oz reporting for her brekkie show, told how she’d seen censored footage of the pop hunk.
She said: “There are clips where he shows how hungry, tired and bored he is.
“And he’s increasingly angry about it.”
Before he went on to the show, Matt admitted the one thing he feared more than spiders and snakes was boredom. He said: “My biggest worry is getting really bored. I have no idea how I’ll cope.”
Meanwhile, bosses are so convinced of a jungle romance, they have changed the rules of tonight’s “split camp” stunt.
The unsuspecting celebs are to be split into two warring gangs, one group in the main site and the other at Snake Rock Camp, a mile away.
Originally, the producers ruled that once split the stars wouldn’t be allowed to see one another again. But now pals will be allowed special visiting rights.
A source said: “There are some relationships blossoming and we’d hate to see them fade away.”
Each day the tribes will compete in Bushtucker Trials and celebrity treasure chests in a bid to win food and treats for their pals.
Viewers will vote as usual for someone to do the trials. I’m a Celebrity is on ITV1 tonight, 9pm.
