Lauren keeps jungle book plan secret
LAUREN Booth is hiding a secret from her pals – she’s keeping a jungle diary.
And the 39-year-old journalist plans to flog the explosive warts-and-all log to the highest bidder when she comes out of the telly show.
Cherie Blair’s half-sister has been given special permission by telly chiefs to
sneak off to the bush telegraph every day for 10 minutes.
There she scribbles down her thoughts about Myleene Klass, 28, and the rest of the gang.
The other celebs have no idea what she is up to.
Stars are banned from bringing things like pens and pencils and paper into the Aussie outback because they are regarded as luxuries.
But the Daily Star can reveal that Lauren has been given the green light by
producers to keep a diary about her experiences on the ITV show.
Lauren slips off to the bush telegraph every afternoon to write her secret diary. Bosses leave a pen and a note pad for her.
After her bitchy comments on the show she knows publishers will be fighting for the book.
She said freaky looking David Gest, 53, had an “ironing board” face and claimed serial whinger Jan Leeming, 64, needed to “lighten up and get a man”.
She also said that newcomer Dean Gaffney, 28, might be “a plant” and
confessed she’d “lez up the show” if she were gay.
A show source said: “Lauren is a journalist so she is good with words and knows how to give people a good read.
“She has not told anyone she is doing the diary because she thought it might create tension and suspicion, with people wondering what she was writing about them.
“They are going to get a mighty shock when they get out.”
This isn’t the first time one of the jungle stars has kept a diary. But it’s the first time they have done it in secret.
Two years ago Janet Street Porter, 57, was allowed to write a jungle diary.
But everyone on the show knew about it and it was published in a broadsheet soon after she was evicted.
And last year Carol Thatcher, 54, made notes which the celebs saw and published her account.
