Zara joins Tufnell's charity hike
Zara Phillips has joined ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell for Day 11 of his 500-mile walk for charity.
The Queen's 22-year-old granddaughter set off with the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! winner for a 19-mile hike between Evesham and Worcester.
Both appeared tanned and relaxed and chatted to reporters assembled at Evesham Cricket Club, ahead of the slog.
Tufnell joked with reporters that he had had 20 cigarettes and four pints of lager for breakfast and was in high spirits, hanging out of the scoreboard with his royal companion and a cricket bat for photos.
The 38-year-old Middlesex spinner started his 28-day journey on May 16 and is due to end at Nottingham's Trent Bridge cricket ground on June 12 for the final of England's test series against New Zealand.
Phil, whose mother died from cancer when he was 14, aims to raise £250,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief as he travels between 20 village cricket clubs and six Test Match grounds.
He recorded in his online diary on Monday that he had developed tendonitis and Zara joked she had come to keep the "old man going".
The cricketer said he had been under no illusion the walk would be easy and welcomed Zara, whose presence, he said, would lift the team's spirits.
He said: "We are on Day 11, coming up to 200 miles. The reception has been great along the way.
"I've got swollen Achilles tendons, tendonitis across both feet, a cramping left calf and blisters on blisters. I've even got nappy rash."
