Fans' 7-hour theme park wait for idol




Peter Andre's attitude towards his young fans is growing increasingly ania.The I'm A Celebrity star agreed to meet a group of competition winners prior to his show at Somerset's Popstars On The Park.




But the Aussie warbler, who was joined at the event by girlfriend Jordan, left the "lucky" youngsters waiting... for seven-and-a-half hours!

And the reason for his delay at the Brean Leisure Park event last Wednesday? Ummm... apparently poor Petey had been on the theme park's rides and needed a lie-down.

Kirsty Brown, whose 11-year-old daughter Emily was one of the dozen youngsters left waiting, was shocked when she heard the singer's excuse.


The miffed mum said: "I don't think it says much for the reputation of that six-pack stomach of his. I'd have expected it to be a lot stronger."

The prize winners were told to arrive at the park by 4.30pm so they could meet the star before he performed his hits Mysterious Girl and Insania. But it was past midnight before the tired tykes received their autographs and hugs from the 31-year-old hunk.

Irate parent David Hocking said: "I'd have thought any man who could lie down with Jordan could take anything Brean Leisure had to throw at him."

Our source said: "We understand he had to prepare for his performance but seven-and-a-half hours is a long time to keep the poor kids waiting

"Peter should know - that's how long his first stab at stardom lasted."

And if he keeps treating his fans like this, we can't see his second attempt faring any better.

SHAKEN Jordan told yesterday how she feared for boyfriend Peter Andre as he was pelted with bottles on stage.

Aussie singer Peter, 31, was targeted by thugs as he performed a concert for 500 young fans.

He continued the show despite a barrage of missiles, before being comforted by worried glamour girl Jordan.

She said: “It was horrible. Loads of young kids had waited all afternoon to see Peter, even though it was pouring with rain.

“But a bunch of drunken lads seemed determined to ruin it. They’d been causing trouble all afternoon.

“They began chucking bottles. I was really worried for the safety of people in the crowd, Peter’s two girl dancers — and, of course, scared for Peter himself.”

Peter — who fell for Jordan, 26, on TV’s I’m A Celebrity — was the main attraction at the open-air concert to mark the merger of Manchester’s two main universities when the yobs struck minutes into his act.

He battled on as they hurled bottles, coins and rubbish at the stage, even after he angrily asked them to stop.

He shouted at the yobs: “All of those throwing things at me can come round the back and we can see who the bigger man is.”

Peter said later: “I stopped the music and asked them to quit because it was dangerous. I was worried someone was going to get hurt if I didn’t say something.

“I went on and finished the show, though — and I’m glad I did.

“It was just a bunch of idiots who were drunk and aggressive. But they should have thought about all the kids who were there. It’s pathetic.”

coming from Jordan who has two huge missiles in front of her I find that a bit hypocritical. He is more at risk from her jumping up and down in front of him than any flying object. ::lol::
