Outspoken football pundit Rodney Marsh looks set to be unveiled as 'star' to sign up to ITV's forthcoming I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.


Marsh, 60, a former QPR, Manchester City and England striker, has made a name for himself since retiring from the game thanks to his frank, and at times controversial, opinions.

His TV career took a dive recently when made an ill-advised joke about last year's tragic Boxing Day tsunami, during a You're On Sky Sports show. The comment resulted in his sacking.

But his colourful past and personality has been identified as perfect for the jungle show, particularly as another loudmouth, former England forward Ian Wright, also looks set to complete a move to the hit reality show.

A show insider told the Daily Star: "Marsh would be a magic signing for us. He's a larger-than-life figure who will certainly speak his mind about people rather than bitch about them behind their backs.

"The fireworks will fly around the camp fire. And Rodney and Ian together in the camp would make fantastic TV."

The fifth I'm A Celeb series kicks off in November this year.
