Rincewind wrote: Yes but thats the point Blags, some utterly repulsive, dull idiots have entered that jungle, and the great British public have embraced them coz they ate a witchity grub
See TPT, Christine Hamilton, Paul Burrell and Jordan I've more respect for anyone who refuses to eat grubs. , and am more interested in how the people get on with each other.
I thought Paul Burrell was marvellous in the last series. |

Corrie's Martin off to the jungle Corrie star Sean Wilson has reportedly become the latest star to face the bugs and grime of the rainforest down under, after signing up for I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The much-loved actor, who plays Martin Platt in the long-running ITV1 soap, will join blonde bombshell Jenny Frost in the Australian jungle, according to the Daily Star. I'm a Celebrity will hit our screens on November 20th, and Geordie presenters Ant and Dec are looking forward to the return of the reality series. Sean, 40, is a well-known face on the Street and has been part of the cast for more than 15 years but is about to leave Weatherfield for good. I'm a Celeb bosses are said to be delighted that he agreed to take part in the hit show. Other potential contestants include '70s comedy duo Cannon and Ball, A-Team hardman Mr T, Margaret Thatcher's daughter Carol, former EastEnders star Elaine Lordan, Jude Law's former nanny and lover Daisy Wright, and Corrie on and off screen lovers Nikki Sanderson and Danny Young. Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is also said to be considering taking part, and has reportedly told his pals that he can't wait to hook up with the sexy former Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost. One friend told the Daily Star: "Jenny really caught his eye. But he'll have to get past (her fiancée) Dominic first!" viewlondon |

Tara says things were different when she was on the show because it was the first series, but that now celebrities know what they are letting themselves in for. "I find it really annoying when they all go in there and whinge," she said. She added: "And it really annoys me when they're fat and they whinge that they're hungry, because I'm, like, you're too fat anyway." ITV |

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here A new camp is all prepared. Quote: 'Our most evil, spine-chilling challenges yet' are being tested, and 10 willing celebrities - to be revealed next week - are packing for Australia. They may be smiling when they first head into camp, but when the show goes on-air on Sunday November 20, will we see the tension mounting as the first Bushtucker Trial is revealed? Are this year's celebs really ready for life in the I'm A Celebrity... jungle? As if he didn't suffer enough the first time, former Royal butler Paul Burrell is going back to the jungle, armed with just his impeccable manners and a good dose of trepidation. With an exclusive look around the new camp, Paul will reveal how hard life is going to be for the celebrities. Everything is a trial, from slopping out the dunny, to making the camp fire, and that's before they've even faced any of the jungle's snakes and spiders. Each year before the celebrities enter camp, 10 Australians are persuaded to spend three days in the jungle. Arranged to test that everything is in working order - from the cameras and sound to the Bushtucker Trials - it's a complete jungle dress rehearsal. Paul speaks to the stand-ins before and after their camp experience and finds out how they have coped with the meagre rations and terrible trials. Paul says: "I'm really excited about going back to the jungle - it was one of the most incredible and challenging experiences I've ever had. I must say I'm quite relieved that there are some parts I won't have to relive but I'm ready for any new trials that are thrown my way." "It's going to be strange to be back there in some ways since so much has happened in the last year but I'm sure once I'm there it will feel like I've never left. Thankfully I did! And I'm not overly excited about the thought of jungle food..! But I'm certainly ready to embrace a new challenge." femalefirst |

I know all this may have been said before, but surely this show is just plain cruelty to dumb z-list celebs? One way or another it'll be fun having Ant and Dec inflicited on the poor viewing public once again

Carol Thatcher risks mother's anger to taste bush tucker Carol Thatcher, the daughter of the former prime minister, has agreed to rough it in the fifth series of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, ITV revealed yesterday. Ms Thatcher, 52, admitted she had not worked up the courage to tell Lady Thatcher. "I promise I won't be the Iron Lady Jr," she said. "I haven't told my mother. I think she'll think 'rather her than me'. "She wouldn't like to give up the hairdo and power heels ... I think she'll probably be very critical." mediaguardian |

16 November 2005 Mirror Wicked show boss vows: Bush trials will be worst yet HERE'S the line up of has-beens about to be dumped in the jungle for the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Long-forgotten Neighbours beauty Kimberley Davies, who played Annalise in the soap, will be rubbing shoulders with out-of-work EastEnders actors Sid Owen and Elaine Lordan and ex-Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy. They will be joined by former Blue singer Anthony Costa, ex-Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost and Jimmy Osmond, who last topped the UK singles charts in the 1970s. Also heading Down Under are ex-Food and Drink presenter Jilly Goolden and perma-tanned ex-Bargain Hunt host David Dickinson.
