FOREST FRUMP
DOWDY Carol Thatcher vowed to keep her kit on in the jungle - then stuck the knife into her "vain" co-stars.
Margaret Thatcher's journalist daughter will be joined by three pop singers and four former soap stars on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!
Ant and Dec's ITV show kicks off tomorrow night. But Carol started the controversy early when asked if she would be skinny-dipping.
She said: "I think I might leave that to the young, soap and TV stars who are probably more shapely and might look rather nice in pics in your paper.
"I think you'll find other contestants have a higher dimension of vanity than C-Thatch."
Carols nine camp mates include soap sexpots Kimberley Davies, who was Annalise in Neighbours, and Sheree Murphy, Emmerdale's Tricia Dingle Ex-Atomic Kitten babe Jenny Frost will also go into the jungle.
Two more soap stars - former EastEnders Sid Owen and Elaine Lordan - are also in the show.
Carol, 52, said: "Actors love to talk about themselves and their greatest hits 23-and-a-half hours a day.
"I hope I'll listen well and applaud when necessary."
However, the broadcaster insisted she was not planning to argue with the others during her time in Australia.
Carol says she will bring political debate and ladylike manners to the jungle. She added: "The thing about a vicarious political upbringing is on the whole you don't give people a hard time because in my youth one was always told be nice to people because they might not vote for your mother.
"I'm not here to argue. I know it's a competition but I relish the prospect of camaraderie.
"I hope it will be, if not a life-changing, a life-enhancing week or two."
Blonde bombshell Kimberley insisted she would't be eye-candy.
The LA-based actress and model said: "I'm not going to be Miss Perfect Body that's for sure"The other girls will all have better bodies than me. I've just had two kids.
"I'm scared for all you lot. "The one thing that comes with motherhood anyway is that you care about that stuff less because you have less time for it."
Sid - who played thick Ricky in EastEnders - has already confessed he fancies Kimberley.
The actor, who has been out of work for two years, said: "Who didn't fancy Kimberley when she was in Neighbours?
"I think she's married, though, so it's a no go for me. You can look but don't touch."
Sid, who now runs a restaurant and clothes shop in France, added: "Of course I'm hopingthis will raise my profile. It doeshelp and I'm not going to lie." Sid - the 3-1 favourite - will be spared renditions of Long-haired Lover From Liverpool by jungle buddy Jimmy Osmond.
Jimmy joked: "Well that's unless I want to get kicked out sooner."
The other contestants are antiques expert David Dickinson, former Blue singer Antony Costa and wine critic Jilly Goolden
