‘Stars’ will be caged 18 November 2005 I’m a Celebrity producers seem to be taking a few tips from ‘evil’ BB bosses – the, ahem, ‘stars’ of this years jungle fest will be banged up. Some of the celebs will be whisked to the jungle jail from the Bush Telegraph, where they’ll bn kept in caged isolation and given little food. They’ll have to survive with a bucket for a toilet and bed down in rope hammocks. Oh, how we wish Nat Appleton was in it this year. An insider said: ‘There are still meetings to decide why the stars will end up in the prison. ‘It may be that they will be voted in there by viewers or each other – or it could be punishment for failing a Bushtucker Trial. BADLY behaved I'm A Celebrity contestants will be locked up in a bamboo cage as punishment, it emerged yesterday. TV bosses revealed the latest twist as former Bargain Hunt presenter David Dickinson and wine buff Jilly Goolden arrived for the show starting Sunday. An insider said: "There's a snake hole a few metres away from the jail. "They are two of the deadliest snakes, a bite from either and without treatment you would be dead in 12 hours." But perma-tanned antiques dealer Dickinson, 64, seemed unfazed, joking: "You will find me in my hammock, it's hard work topping up the tan." The other contestants include Carol Thatcher, 52, ex-EastEnders star Sid Owen, 33, and singer Jimmy Osmond, 42. Goolden, in her 40s, said her son Phillip, 14, was worried about the reaction at school. She said: "Imagine the embarrassment you could cause, in a thong, manicuring your toenails or something." mirror |
