JAILBIRD'S GRUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE
DAVID Dickinson was threatening to lead a camp revolt last night after discovering Sheree and Jenny had been thrown into a jungle jail.
David,who did time in prison when he was a young man, even threatened to sue ITV if it happened to him. "If there's any aggro, I'll be suing," he said. "They'll have to send in special forces to take me. If I get hurt in that process, then yeah, I'll sue. Send me to f***ing jail - been there, done that."
Sheree and Jenny were jailed because, as camp leader and deputy leader on Friday, it was their responsibility to see that the rules were followed.
But unfortunately for them more rules were broken that day than on any other so far. The main culprits were Carol and Jilly who covered up their microphones to have whispered conversations. Also a rule about six people being in camp at all times was flouted.
The cramped jungle jail consists simply of two hammocks, a battery-operated light and a bucket for the toilet. The only meal served is cold rice and beans.
As the night closed in and the lamp died Sheree and Jenny began to get more and more terrified. Sheree begged to be released. "I just wanna get out," she said, as she broke down in tears. "I swear to God, if I could go now, get the hell out of here, I would. I'd rather be chucked out than stay all night. I'm such a wimp but I can't stay."
Jenny added: "Every noise you hear, you think is an axe murderer." The other celebrities were as outraged as David to discover that the girls were spending the night in prison. Antony said: "I was nearly in tears. I was gutted." Meanwhile, Kimberley glumly delivered the news that - as the previous (unpopular) leaders - Cannon and Ball would be reinstated for a further stint.
