As if a dunking in fish guts in the latest Bush Tucker Trial wasn't bad enough, the beleaguered celebrities found themselves battling with torrential rains during a dramatic thunderstorm.
As the rain came down in sheets with fork lightning blazing across the night sky, the contestants huddled for shelter in the 'penthouse' camp. Earlier, Bobby Ball lived up to his name - by turning into a human bowling ball in a bid to win meals for the group.
The legendary funnyman, along with fellow campers Sid Owen and Antony Costa, were each given three chances to get a strike by knocking down the seven pins. The contestants clambered into a purpose-built sledge at the top of a ramp which led down on to a slippery alley.
But they were in for a nasty shock as the alley culminated in a waist-deep pit filled with muddy water and fish guts. Both Sid and Antony managed to get a star each but poor old Bobby failed each time - wailing that he was a "failure" without his comedy partner Tommy Cannon.
Back at camp, the girls were convinced that the trio were winding them up when they confessed to only winning a pitiful two stars.
Bobby Ball has also emerged as an unlikely ladies' man jumping onto a camp bed with Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost before telling ex-Emmerdale babe Sheree Murphy she had beautiful eyes.
When Sheree gave as good as she got, Bobby scolded her saying: "I'm a married man. I'm old enough to be your brother, so stop it. My wife might be watching."
Sheree's husband, footballer Harry Kewell, may today be hiding his face in embarrassment after his wife told all about his "peachy bum".
"He's got the smoothest, peachiest bum ever," she told the contestants. "The shape is gorgeous."
It is the second time the actress has given away intimate details of her husband's anatomy, earlier revealing he had stretch marks.
Meanwhile, Carol Thatcher has emerged as Ladbrokes' favourite to win the reality TV show.
The Iron Lady's daughter is currently odds on at 4/5. Her gutsy performance and no-nonsense approach have made her a firm favourite with viewers.
Former Eastender Sid is also hotly tipped to claim the King of the Jungle crown as is Jimmy Osmond.
Whingy Jenny Frost yesterday surprised everybody by winning the maximum number of stars in her first Trial. The 27-year-old managed to keep it together locked in a sealed booth with snakes, crayfish and creepy crawlies.
