Carol Thatcher is the bookmakers' odds-on favourite to be named the winner in the fifth series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The daughter of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher is rated 4/11 on to win, having survived two weeks in the Australian rainforest.

Bookmaker William Hill gives former EastEnders star Sid Owen odds of 3/1 to win the ITV reality show.

The other finalist, ex-Emmerdale actress Sheree Murphy, is rated 7/1.

William Hill said around 80% of cash bets had been for Thatcher in the last week.

She is also given odds of 50/1 to become an MP and 500/1 to become prime minister.

Singer Jimmy Osmond was the latest contestant to leave the show on Sunday.

"I feel as though I've won because I got past all the goals I ever wanted to," the youngest Osmond star told hosts Ant and Dec.

"I never thought I would last all the way - and I'm just numb."

Of his fellow contestant Carol Thatcher, Osmond added: "At first she had such a large personality, but she kept getting bigger and bigger - there's a lot to that lady."

Asked who he thought would win, he said: "I don't really know, I think the public will decide that."

The victor will be announced live on ITV1 on Monday night, following a public vote.

Previous winners include DJ Tony Blackburn, retired cricketer Phil Tufnell, Kerry Katona and Joe Pasquale.

Carol Thatcher finishes as the 4/11 odds-on favourite having started as the 14/1 rank outsider in the betting. In total around 80% of cash wagers have been for Carol in the last week. Punters were particularly impressed with her performance in the first bush tucker trail, when she ate all kinds of unspeakable 'delicacies' with six separate four figure wagers accepted within hours. Carol is 50/1 to become an MP and 500/1 to become Prime minister.

Sid Owen finishes as William Hills 3/1 second favourite a price that has hardly changed since day one when Hills installed Sid as the favourite. Sid is now 2/1 to make a triumphant return to Eastenders.

Sheree Murphy finishes at 6/1 having originally been quoted as a 7/1 outsider. Sheree is now 2/1 to land a primetime show on National television

Hills spokesman Rupert Adams said,"It has been a roller coaster series but whatever happens tonight a star has been born in the unlikely form of Carol."

William Hill: 4/11 Carol Thatcher, 3/1 Sid Owen, 6/1 Sheree Murphy
