I'm A Celebrity winner Carol Thatcher is back on speaking terms with twin Mark, she said today
Miss Thatcher has blamed her brother for causing their mother, Baroness Thatcher, "hurt and worry" over his involvement in an attempted coup in Equatorial Guinea.
Earlier this year he was given a four-year suspended prison sentence for funding mercenaries and he admitted buying a helicopter gunship to be used in the coup.
Last week Miss Thatcher said she was "dismayed" by his behaviour and claimed she barely spoke to her brother.
But in an interview with GMTV today, the 52-year-old said the siblings were trying to patch up their relationship.
"Now it's all in the past tense and I have spoken to Mark several times since.
"Sometimes you have to put things behind you both in politics and in bog-standard life," she said.
Miss Thatcher was crowned "Queen of the Jungle" after winning the ITV1 reality show and said her mother was delighted by her victory.
"She was terribly pleased for me when I won. She cheered and thought it was very much in the Thatcher spirit, so I've done something right for a change," she said.
The broadcaster and journalist now has several TV projects and a publishing deal in the pipeline.
