I think IACGMOOH is a little overrated but it does get a huge mainstream audience & it's far more light-hearted than Big Brother. I'm sure if Kate could spare the three weeks she would attack the programme with great gusto & her personality would come across very well. I think Love Island will fail miserably this year & will get slaughtered by the critics - Kate's made the right decision. Good to see Kate still has a good rapport with Granada. Jade & her agent keep badgering the producers to get her on IACGMOOH - she said before last year's show started that she wouldn't be watching because they turned her down - that shows you how her mind works. I think Strictly Come Dancing would be perfect for Kate. |

I personally believe that "Reality tv stars", shouldn't do these shows (whomever they are). The point of sleb shows should be putting a well-known face in a totally different situation then they've been put in before. Its utterly pointless if you put veterans of other reality shows, especially the ones who have done many of them. "Back to reality", proved that a lot of the British public, agree with me here. |

In a perfect world I agree with what you say, Rince, which is why I say Strictly Come Dancing would be better for Kate because it's about learning & performing a craft/art. BTR & the BB panto were both truly awful & yet Big Brother's biggest 'star' was the biggest signing. The producers of Celebrity Big Brother & IACGMOOH want a mix, but the main people they look for are 'faded' stars or those who have disappeared into obscurity. Kate has only done Celebrity Wrestling & that was pre-recorded & not a reality show anyway. |

I think the producers would love to have a genuine star on one of these programmes, but generally the only people who choose to go into them are the has-beens looking to kickstart their careers and hope-to-be's looking to up their profile. All these people go on thinking they may have new career opportunities because of thei appearance, with maybe the exception if Germaine Greer. |

Of course in a an ideal world the producers would want Hollywood A-list actors, top British & American musicians, & top polticians like Bill Clinton - but as you say, it ain't gonna happen. The producers do seem to have an obsession with faded stars, tho. Why do Ant'n'Dec keep saying they would love to have the likes of Mr T, Gary Coleman, etc.?? And why did Endemol go all out to get self-pitying egotist, Barrymore?? |

They may do it as they think these people are desperate enough to be outrageous on these shows, thus bumping up the viewing figures. |
